I thought of what think will be a good question. How did you come up with your pet’s names? My current cat Maxie I wasn’t sure when I got her if she was a boy or a girl. She has the tabby M on her forehead so I decided on Max because it could work for a boy or girl. When she was a kitten I used to say it was short for Maximum Energy or Maximum Trouble. When I got Zoe I also wasn’t sure if she was a boy or girl. My mom actually suggested Zoe from Baby Blues. Apparently they picked the name because it worked for either and they didn’t know what they were having. My first cat that was just mine, Rafael, was named after a ninja turtle. I was dating a guy then who was into them and Rafael was my favorite.

I see that the BCN calendar is the #1 new release in humor and comic calendars right now. I am not quite ready to buy a calendar in March, I am glad to see the pre-sales are already going well. Last year I think I ordered mine in May.

I named Yang and his brother Yin when my father handed me Sir Kenneth Clark’s book “Civilization” and asked me to come up with a couple of names suitable for Siamese cats.

Years before, when Mom’s black Persian had three female kittens, I announced that their names were “Tessie, Lessie and Gurp”. We kept Gurp, which meant the better part of a decade of dinnertimes with Mom standing in the kitchen door yelling “Gurp! Gurp!” to the whole neighborhood.

Who’s the friend who wants to know whether it is dark and scary?

And how did Sir Fig get down there?

Guess that rumble really was a purr Lupin :) Glad I’m not in that basement or I’d be sneezing up a storm with those smells.

I can’t help but think of Manuel in Fawlty Towers when Sir Figaro says Que? :)

My two current kitties are Yum Yum and Annie. Yum Yum is Siamese and I named her for the character in G and S’s opperetta The Mikado. I got my other grey girl from a friend who could not keep her. Since in a way she had been orphaned, I renamed her Annie

Yes, Lupin. Is it dark and scary down there? There might be someone trying to hurt you down there. OMC- is there a (gasp) veterinarian down there?? Maybe you shouldn’t have gone down into the basement. ::queue scary music::

    Elvis wants to know.

Is Lupin not worried about something that kinda looks like a “no-no spray bottle” sitting beside him?

Georgia has nailed that “wide eyed slightly surprised” look that cats have when startled awake.

I love that bowl of clothespins! And that’s either a bottle of spray starch next to it, or a disciplinary mister

I can see Lupin’s deafness being a bit of a problem here.

Y’know, I’ve said this before, but I’m going to say this again. This comic would make a good cartoon for little kids rather than the ridiculous nonsense that gets shown as cartoons nowadays. If ya agree with me, say YAY!

The timing was perfect! As soon as I reached the last panel – my shiba started barking. As if to say “None of that quiet and solitude HERE! There are intruders!” (No one is here…)

Our old girl is copying Sir Fig. She is currently snoring in a pile of warm, freshly laundered towels. She likes to pretend that she is doing me a favour by snoozing on them, and that it is a great inconvenience for her to have to interrupt her usual, very important activities. But she could beat “The Flash” to the laundry basket when I take things out of the dryer. Love it.

My little Vlad was named Vlad after Ash who’s nickname was Vampire (he liked showing off his fangs). And Sebastian, when I saw him, I motioned to the clerk and told her that I want to take Sebastian home. No thought about it, it just came to me.
