need Schroeder to go on, Lucy?

In other words, Lucy, you’re an earworm!

Now I keep hearing Joni Mitchell in my head.

There is one song i would associate with you Lucy. It’s called Devil Woman by Cliff Richard

More like an annoying song that gets stuck in your head and you can’t evict from your mental playlist, no matter how hard you try.

The first song that sprung to my mind was Sting’s “Fragile.” “On and on the rain will say, How fragile we are, How fragile we are.” Not the sentiment expressed by this strip, of course, and the song came decades later.

When this comic was first done, people were still playing music on records, (mostly 45s and 33 {I think} LPs). So I believe Schroeder’s needle is stuck.

Lucy is just like the Energizer Bunny!!

The song from Shari Lewis and Lambchop goes on and on. Also It’s A Small World from the ride at Disneyland.

I do love piano music. Someone come and teach me how to play.

I think of Lucy like Death Metal. Kind of thrashing about and kinda mean sounding.
