It won’t work. They change the rules daily… all but the one which says, “You lose.”

And they never tell us ahead of time, so we’re always caught off-guard!

Grandma doesn’t want anyone to know that she’s wearing a diaper.

No man ever learns all the rules. The universe likes to keep things secret so that it can pull surprises, usually when we least want one.

As soon as you think you know the rules, they change!

Of course it’s disrespectful to Grandma but he doesn’t understand that. If you stop to think about it though, most people don’t like to be patted on their bottom or petted like a cat. Grandma could agree to limit affections to hugs between the two of them?

Hugs are great unless your grandma or old Aunt smell like mothballs and Listerine.

I wonder what the reaction would be if the next time Grandma pats Nelson on the bottom Nelson says, “Grandma, you said patting someone’s bottom is rude and disrespectful!”

Some things are funny because they’re true. Other things, like today’s strip, are true but not funny.

Don’t worry kid, the older we get, the less we understand !

I am female and even I can’t stand the double standard that the women pull on the men – in the courts, in society and elsewhere. Opal came on too hard on Nelson.

Do as I say, not as I do…until I want you to.

A pat on the head can be construed as condescending. Accompanied, of course, by there there.
