Norma Deloris Egstrom (May 26, 1920 – January 21, 2002) known professionally as Peggy Lee, was an American jazz and popular music singer, songwriter, composer, and actress, in a career spanning six decades.
Have to admit, I’m feeling pretty let down this morning. I didn’t think the lady looked like Phyllis yesterday and yet …. Well, the story is not over yet. I’ll stay tuned.
Tough to find anything, possibly because searches turn up millions of hots for the singer. Look to me like the 3rd panel is from a photo, possibly an official photo.
A musical impasse here. Peggy Lee the singer recorded a wealth of great sides for Decca and Capitol. But it has been established that this is not the same Peggy Lee. And Peggy Lee the singer was not a regular character in a cartoon series. So if anyone figures out who this Peggy Lee is before it is revealed, then maybe Peggy Lee the singer can be called upon to reprise one of her signature tracks: Alright, Okay, You Win!

What a letdown! I have never waited for a comic like I waited for this one. I thought we were going to see a turning point in this historic comic.
