Smells like peppermint tea? Not a bad smell. But what about smelling root beer tea, or gingersnap tea, or egg nog tea? Come to think of it, I think I need to get some more loose leaf green tea and peppermint tea.

Sophie, if Tommy has a mic, you can’t expect him to be quiet.

I just love how casually Tommy admits that Sophie doesn’t care for him. Nothing bothers him at all. :D

All members of the skipper1992 family are home sweet home and accounted for. Wind and rain are picking up here in central NC but we still have power for me to make said cup of tea for myself. :-)

The Houston Chronicle deletes BCN from Friday comics. Hence I was driven to find an alternative source to feed my addiction, thank you gocomics. Have 3 cats of our own, sometimes I believe Ms Dunn has been a fly on the wall in our house! Way too funny.

Ah, he lives with a queen.

Try sassafras. You can grow the shrub yourself and harvest even between hurricane bands. I just harvested mint, basil, thyme, and green peppers before the rain hit.

We just had to put down our cat Sophie because of her kidney failure. A great name for a good kitty.

In my imagination, Sophie was anxiously looking out the window every day that Tommy was missing…and silently cursing herself for missing the big hairball.

We have one of those. Nina does not care for any cat. She was first in the house and was alone for a little while before we stocked up. Prissy Hissy Bitchy.

In “honor” of my birthday today, Dee has ended up with a new friend – a tiny gray fluff-ball of a kitten who has a severe eye infection. We are treating the problem, of course, but the vet is still saying there is a very good chance that she will be mostly blind (best case scenario) or lose one or both eyes completely (worst case scenario). Either way, PJ has become a permanent resident of our home. (Two options for the “official” name – Prudence Jane or Peter Joseph – just have to wait for the baby to get big enough to tell gender.)

Yay finally Sophie, Tommy, and the barn cats. I love them <3
