This reminds me of a very early Saturday Night Live sketch—John Belushi and Gilda Radner playing very old people who crawl into bed and then start insulting each other and accusing each other of various infidelities and speculating on the proclivities of their neighbors. Their anger rises, the accusations become more and more outrageous—until finally, one of them says “That did it for me! How about you?” The other agrees, they fall into each other’s arms, and begin their lovemaking as the lights fade. . .and (what else?) SNL goes to commercial.
This reminds me of the “Cheers” episode where Sam and Diane start arguing and it gets more and more heated until Sam says “Are you as turned on as I am?” And Diane says “More!” and they fall into a passionate embrace. That had a much lower “EWWWW” factor.
