Gravity interference indicates that there is a big planet orbiting past Pluto. It should be named Goofy.

It took a second but I got it Jimmy. That’s why I love your strip. Sometimes you have to think about it. The realization of the joke enhances the enjoyment of the humor! Kudos for the enjoyment.

So, does Janis think that the next “planet” (#10) discovered should be called “Goofy”?

The usual problem… definition. Until the foofaraw over Pluto there never was a good definition of “planet” – still isn’t in my opinion.

I’m not going to argue over some Mickey Mouse planet.

It’s also Daffy ! Whoops ! He’s not a Disney Character.

The IAU not wanting to allow more planets must be ‘Scooges’. Or maybe they just have a ‘Gearloose’ (as in Gyro). Pluto vs. Goofy? Let’s ask the Beagle Boys. ( I’ll be here all week)

REINSTATE PLUTO!!!!

True story: last night I was at a Neil DeGrasse Tyson talk in San Francisco last night. One of his slides showed two pictures of Pluto side by side and the one on the right had the outline of Disney Pluto’s face traced over a feature on the planet. (YES I SAID PLANET!!!) That man is absolutely delightful except for his wrongheaded dissing of Pluto.

They have different senses of humor.

Its kinda like, “Tag, you’re it!!”
