Man plans, God laughs.

His tab might just fund her future!

Me thinks that Captain Eddie was set up!

Wasn’t that the future that we just passed by?

The future is always ahead of us, the past always behind. The present is forever and slipping past us bit by tiny bit. Planning for the future is a good idea. For power outtage, for flooding, for food shortages etc.

I tried to live by the motto Forget about the past and plan for the future, but the bill collectors had another idea.

Capt Eddie’s cat is always looking to the future, never at the present.

I think Eddie eventually pays up his tab, or else Flo WOULD cut him off

Yeah, life is what happens to you when you’ve made other plans.

In some cultures, the language does not have a ‘future’ tense - present and future are spoken of the same way. A major study a few years ago showed that people raised speaking that type of language were much better at planning for their future (i.e., saving) - presumably because they saw it as part of their present. Just something to think about . . .

As I have often said, ( including on GoComic ): Today is the Tomorrow, you worried about Yesterday…..And now you know why !

Capn Eddie should tell tall tales for his tab! The tall tales he tells tries tolerance.

The “tab” is coming due soon and our children and children’s children will pay it. We need to change our ways.

The future? Well, we are all gonna die. And that friends, is the one and only sure bet

I’ve found that I get much better results planning backward than planning ahead.

It all depends on your relationship to the owner…..remember relationships people?

As old as I am I still have to show ID.
