Not cats, they have horns. Not apes even though the bodies are apelike, they have tails. Not yetis though they are in mountains. Not animals at all, their lair has a door. Demons?
I don’t like to give negative comments, but this is unreadable, unfollowable and annoying. Comic strips have long since advanced past the once-every-seven-days format (even TV is evolving past that). I’m sure there is some grand philosophical point at the end of this slog, but I’ll be ignoring it every Sunday, just as I have the past 3 or 4 (I’ve already lost count).
There. This is the internet where everyone can voice their opinion. I’ve voiced mine now on this subject, and am finished. Feel free to ignore this rambling at your pleasure (replies will most certainly be ignored, positive or negative).
Hey, if you scroll the page to cut off the top of the first panel, leaving “GENJI AND NEBBISH” at the top edge of your view, another face appears. There’s suggestion for you.
Thanks for the history & links. Along the way I saw the Fear/Change/Power-grab aspect and thought it was an apt political commentary. I confess to a short attention span when I visit the comics pages, but I will watch to see if Capt. Cooper calls it.

Can someone who follows this comic regularly tell me what Nebbish is all about? It seems to be a serial story that comes and goes from time to time.

Best artwork yet! You can appreciate this strip as pure visual storytelling without even reading the text.

She couldn’t have Nebbish conjure up a 3 bedroom cottage with central air?

This must be a different tale of Genji than the one I read in Japanese class.

Didn’t anyone tell Genji that deep dark caves (especially ones that have doors attached) are where the trolls hang out??

A departure from the confines of ‘normal’ gags and panels, like Winsor McCay, imaginative and well drawn.
