Wonder how long it will take for that certain crowd to start calling for banning Halloween because it teaches little children to engage in the protection racket. (As if they haven’t learned by age two anyway.)
It’s already illegal (with potential jail time) for 13 year old kids to trick-or-treat in Chesapeake, VA. And even little kids can get a big time ticket if they are out after 8pm.
Perhaps if we called it “pray or pastry” instead, the #crazychristians wouldn’t get so uptight about it all.
According to a book written about the GOP congress, by a rock ribbed conservative, they have set up Congress just like a gang that extorts money- aka a protection racket. They even force each of their members to extort money from corporations saying if you want laws that give your company a free ride then the bigger “campaign contribution” you give, the bigger tax cut you get. and you get a better chance of having laws that protects your business at the expense of others“Campaign Contribution” a way for congress to make bribery legal. But only for them
The government hates competition. They’re going to “protect” you and charge you taxes to pay for it.
The right to keep and bear arms is about the militia, not you carrying an M-16 or AR-15 around. “Keep-and-Bear-Arms” was only interpreted then as in a military role only, not your average person using a military weapon as a hunting rifle. They are designed then and now to blow your enemy apart. Not good for hunting deer.
Unlike the Libertarian view of the 2nd Amendment and it isn’t commonly agreed with. Also since with the creeping corporatism has taken over parts of govt. Your statement is meaningless.

…And if they try to actually enforce it, they’re in deep doo-doo if they’re caught!

If you “opt out” of government protection, please post your address so we can send all the “tricksters” over to your house.
