Oh, can I sympathize. I used to keep my earrings in a pile on a shelf above my bed, then Sparky decided that shelf made a good seat and relocated the earrings downward. The way my room’s set up, some of those earrings are STILL under my bed…Wonder what I’ll find when I pack up for the upcoming move…
“Yes, Kitten… 30 years. And if truth be told, a bit further.” Maxie took his coffee cup between his teeth like he’d just caught it in the back yard, and gulped its contents. Megan laughed sharply; “See- there’s another thing you won’t see your average housecat do…” Tre-C and Max turned and stared at Megan. “Just trying to insert a little levity, kids. Sorry.” “But how…?” Megan cut Maxie off; “Maybe when we get back. Right now we have planning to do- let’s not lose focus.”
Cats have you been accused by your People of crimes you didn’t commit? If so, call the law offices of the Feline Legal Defense. We’ll make sure you have the representation you need.
I’m sure everyone here has had or knows someone who has a cat like “Digger”. I cannot hide anything from her. Items once secured in a drawer or box or- cat forbid!- a shopping bag, will appear as if by magic on the living room floor, bed, dining room table, or kitchen counter. I swear she’s part raven. I know she’s seen how the door levers work (we do not have doorknobs on most doors). One of my greatest fears is one morning I’ll get up to feed them and my keys will be gone and the car won’t be in the driveway…
As some of us pointed out a week or two back, there is no English word ‘alright’. THAT is what Lupin is speaking of with ‘I beg your pardon’. He’s objecting to the Woman’s misuse, that’s all.
Good morning and happy Funday, orbsters and orbabies. Methinks Lupin must have made off with something shiny in the past, or the woman would not be confronting him now. I also didn’t spot Natasha until she was pointed out to me. On another note, we had dinner at my daughter’s yesterday, and my great-granddaughter presented me with some artwork – a drawing on one side that we promptly dubbed “Windows 100” and a montage of stickers on the other. Think I can find the blasted thing this morning so I can put it on the fridge? Nope, noway and nohow. I can’t point the finger at Yum Yum, she only nibbles on the corners of the newspaper and this was printer paper. Oh, well…..
Had a little calico (Katherine Tallulah Diddley, KT for short) who had a thing for shiny bling…rings, earrings, and a gold bridge that is still missing to this day. Evinrude did bread twisties and hair ties. Pussnboots was fascinated by any little crinkled bit of paper/wrapping paper. Linus was a sock stealer, and, most appropriately, a stealer of doll blankets. Sally thinks hair ties and yarn are fascinating, but she tends to make “floor art” like the talented Sophie.
We didn’t have a fresh sample when we brought the family in so there was no worming meds for Trixie. We were pretty sure she had them but the vet suggested we wait for the spay to do the single dose pill. She is calmer but still not in a place where can pill her or even try the oral suspensions.
Last night she hurled up a huge wad of worms. Apparently this happens when the infestation is extreme. The vet typically doesn’t stock the topical version of the dewormer but is ordering it for us today. We can’t allow this to continue at this scale.
No wonder the poor puss has been so rumbly in the tumbly. Eating like a hog but gaining no weight. Will inform as things change.
Well…I’m off to the hospital to have an MRI of my head to see what’s up with the swollen optic nerve in my left eye that’s had me half-blind for 6 weeks. Not looking forward to lying on my racked back on a hard table in a noisy room for an hour. Stay tuned…

Sadly, I lost one half of my all-time favourite pair of earrings in just such a “mysterious” manner.

Oh, Woman, Woman…how could you accuse sweet little Lupin of such a thing? The indignity!

Let’s not get too hasty, Woman. Lupin would never steal anything from you.

Lupin may be innocent. Is that a rare dangly earing the Robber Mouse is carrying in panel two?
Robin Harwood about 6 years ago
Dangly earrings are rare? There was a plague of the things not long ago.
(Yes, I’ve given up being happy. Too exhausting. For those who want a last dose of it, try this:
