Opal’s got your there, Earl.

Some of you are examples of what to do.

Some of us (Earl and me, for example) are examples of what NOT to do

Experience is the best teacher—-especially someone else’s experience!

Often while looking for one thing another is found :-)

It’s amazing that they stayed together long enough to have a kid in the first place.

Making Opal the role model for opening one’s mouth and saying something unkind, just because you CAN.

can imagine Nelson telling his mom: “Guess what Grandpa showed me today!”

I used to facetiously list one of my previous jobs as a supermodel. A super model prisoner.

Opal keeps pointing out that he makes mistakes. Maybe his biggest mistake was marrying Opal.

What a nagging wench she can be. Holier than though and never aware of her own behaviors. I know the type.

We’re all on this good Earth for a purpose, mine to… hold on I’m still thinking…oh ya, it’s timed out what the heck…

BTW, I don’t think Opal had a job while Earl supported her financially. She raised her daughter but Earl paid all the bills. BOTH were doing their part, Earl is just as important in the relationship as Opal is, contrary to what she implies.

I’ve always told my godson that I’m his bad example.

If you’re not going to learn from your mistakes, you might as well not even bother making them!

Once, I thought I made a mistake. But, I was wrong, I did not.

Who learns from mistakes belonging to her.

Remember you can always be used as a Bad Example.

Mark Twain once said he performed a valuable public service as a bad example.

Grandchildren are God’s way of letting you get revenge on your kids !

Earl, think of yourself as the Titanic of role models.

I think Opal was thinking Earl is a roll model, soft and round.

Being the BAD example is the FUN job. I laid claim to that job when out first grandson was born. I have been fighting any and all attempts of losing that job for the past 20 years(the other grand parents keep saying that I have too much fun with it).
