I’m as equally perplexed by this one as I am today’s 1961 BC strip.

I suppose this “word” was coined by a Welshman? Google says:pwn/pōn/verb INFORMAL(especially in video gaming) utterly defeat (an opponent or rival); completely get the better of.“I can’t wait to pwn some noobs in this game”

WTF would seem to be an appropriate response.

BC is getting n00bs?

Powerful people take advantage and hope the “little man” doesn’t find out. If they do find out they shrug their shoulders with an “I’m sorry” that they really don’t mean but the media forces on them. In the meantime I’ll go PVP some get and get myself PWN. Maybe I’ll go recap Snowfall Cemetery and blow some minds.

Now I feel old. I don’t have any idea of what he’s saying.

‘Pwn some noobs’ must be a lot like Fast Eddie was doing in ‘The Hustler’, but without the risk of having your thumbs broken.

I believe he meant to say “n00bz.”

“Pwn” means own. “Pwn some n00bs” is gamer speak for dominate some rookie players in an online game..

PWN is a corruption of ‘Own’. Noob as in Newbie. To Pwn a noob is to beat a new guy so bad at a game, he never wants to play again.
