Change starts with the perception that one’s changes are determined by choice. Good choices have desirable consequences. Bad choices have undesirable consequences. Wishful choices have unpredictable consequences, but History has shown that, more often than not, those consequences will be undesirable. The consequences of random choices may be observed in the animal kingdom, where roadkill and the food chain usually prevail.
I get a laugh out of every single politician running against an incumbent says, “It is time for change…I will be that change”. Well duh. The only thing that doesn’t change is that they preach change.
This is so convenient! Our great books study group just started reading “Lord Of The World”, by Robert Hugh Benson, an early SciFi novel published about 2 years before Bleriot flew his plane across the English Channel in 1909. Instead of airlanes, it uses Vernesque airships or STOLs called volors. I think Rat may soon make his debut in higher literary circles.

Not sure that’s how it works. He might try starting at the other end of the spectrum and connect with humility (not that rat ever would).
