To be or not to be, that is the question. Tis it nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and, by opposing, end them. Or maybe I’ll just post on social media.
Visit my sock puppet’s twitter sometime (As in literally made out of a sock). No politics. No hot button issues. No outrage. Just good vibes and video games.
“This life… is but a walking shadow; a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
That’s what happens most of the time, but if you “trigger” someone who has the opposite opinion, then you get a twitter storm. This recently happened to a Chinese author who apparently said or did something wrong in her book (the explanation is lengthy and I haven’t had the time to investigate fully) and was criticized by quite a number of people in the publishing community. She was “compelled” to post a public apology to said-community. I guess online twitter bullying is very effective.
Actually, it’s more like “and a giant Internet mob forms, fueled by rage based on one person’s unsupported word, destroys one or more innocent persons, and then when the truth comes out, just shrugs and moves on waiting on the next provocation, because SJW or woke or something.”

There really are not that many people who consider Twitter important. Unfortunately, most of the journalism profession is part of that group.
