If I remember correctly Abe “unfriended” McClellan about 3 times and “frended” twice.

I learned today that in 1992 Lincoln was inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame as an Outstanding American. He was a 6’ 4" wrestler who only lost 1 event in about 300 and was a bit of a trash talker. (heard on the radio and just verified on the History Channel’s Today in History)

Interesting comments, you scholars do know that Abe was a Republican, that Robert E Lee was his first choice to lead the Union Army, and that he said that if he could preserve the Union without freeing a single slave, he would. He also only emancipated slaves in the southern states.

Just to get away from some of the political comments…. FYI: They already had electricity. The union used telegraph very effectively on the battlefield during the war. No need for coal or steam.

Almost bought a home in Abe’s birth town this past December 2018. Bought 20 miles down the road instead.
