One job I had years ago, the cafeteria was on the floor below mine. A coworker and I would climb to the top floor, 12 flights of stairs) and back down before and after eating. Only a half floor to the kitchen these days.
I can relate to that – Aircraft carriers – 6 flights of stairs from berthing to the workspace and 4 flights from workspace to chow hall – 3x day – 7 days a week – plus all the other places one goes during a work day… Waist size went from 38" to 32" in just one cruise eating all the food I wanted…
Wasn’t Ralph sitting on the bed in his stateroom with an ice cream cone and a piece of half-eaten pie in his hands just yesterday???? I want his secret. . .
This is total fiction on so many levels. A skinny Ralph for one, but Norm saying something somewhat informed is beyond belief. BTW, you’d think the legs would have a little more muscle tone.
When my wife took my mother on a cruise, even the extra level walking compared to home improved all her numbers, just not weight. Her doctor gave her a prescription for a cruise, take as needed (insurance didn’t cover it, though).
I’ve taken 3 cruises and ate like a pig at the buffet. Hungry because all the shore excursions were hard work and the ship was so much walking to get anywhere. Didn’t lose but didn’t gain either.

I give them a week before they’re back to their usual weight. (Monday if the artist just wants a new arc)

Couple of friends of mine had exactly this experience just recently. Maybe it’s because they went to Norway in February to see the northern lights.

100 flights of stairs, say 1000’ vertical, is an average goal for healthy people using fitbits.

I guess I’m the only one bothered by the use of “floors” instead of “decks”.
