The book of John does not identify its author by name but as “the disciple (not apostle) Jesus loved”. When Jesus went to Lazarus tomb, the people watching said “See how much he loved him.” And there were rumors that the writer of that book would never die. Well if he died once and came back from the dead, people might start such a rumor.
Yes, our Lord and Savior, you have been given great reviews. Now, let us pray that we live the lives that allow,us to have a great review by you, the Father and the Holy Spirit at our Judgement. Will we repent and refain from sin? Willl instead go along as sinners and foolishly believe that you are simply a golden ticket to Heaven without any need to sincerely change our lives and conform to the truths you taught us.
