What the heck is going on with this strip?

OK enough already, this is beyond stupid. Where are all of the women libbers, surprised they are not up in arms with this demeaning nonsense.

I am tuning out until we at least get back to see how the boys season is progressing. While all of this has been going on they have probably played several games.

I’m hoping this particular story arc is a lesson against putting too much faith in gimmicks and not in hard work and practice. (Yeah, I know – said the guy who comes from the town that gave the world The Terrible Towel and The Green Weenie…)

Sooo….in an effort to portray women athletes in a serious manner, we get knit caps and rally hippos. Okay….I can get behind this.

In all reality , You see I have a collection of things ,even living things . You mean like plants and animals ? Those but also people too. Ever hear of the Missing Thorp Kids ?

Has this strip lost its standards? Everyone knows that the hippo ought to be a peacock, and it should be the reincarnated spirit of Boo Radley!

I think I know why we haven’t checked into the girl’s softball team for the last few years now.

P1, The Rally Hippo is what everyone called the girl I took to the prom.

P3, Most kids your age collect Instagram followers.

Well, some girls teams do stuff that many would consider dumb. A girl on one of my daughter’s teams tried passing around a stuffed panda named ‘pandamonium’ to the player of the week. Of course, the girls were 10 at the time and not in HS.

And thus ends the knitted cap portion of this story.

…only a visit to Milford CC can save us now, the spring member-guest is coming up shortly, maybe we can get some adult debauchery from Jon Jawor and his crew…
