First panel, western NY where I use to live. Second panel, why I didn’t want to move to the deep south. Third panel south central Kentucky where I moved to a couple months ago.
Here in Seattle, we skip perfect days and go straight from cold and rainy to hot and smoky. The sky the last two summers looked like the one in Blade Runner because of the forest fires. Very depressing.
Had a couple weeks of sunny and too hot, now we are back to cloudy and drizzle. I prefer the latter, as the drizzle is rarely hard enough to prevent doing things outside. My wife loves the heat.
After I turned 50,my doctor told me"well, you can stop complaining about the weather now;everyday you wake up from here on in is a beautiful day"…he was quite right!
We just had a string of these great days here in the Piedmont of NC, but it quickly transitioned to a string of 90’s in the forecast. Enjoyed the good days to the max. And a thanks to Mr. Willis Carrier for making the 90’s easily bearable.
the weather in MN is insane right now. All this stupid rain and coolness to boot. Did not know there was a burger competition going on. Missed that one..
Yesterday – May 18 – weather in the 70Fs finally. I went out for the mail, and since bugs love me, one tried landed on my wrist to bite me, while his friend looked on waiting for his chance. So I now have to wear a “bug band” every day until fall is here and settled in or get bitten constantly – record was 8 bites on face and 3 on right arm, 5 on left – in a trip from our side door 20 ft to the car.

Sadly, there are very few perfect days. There would be many more if it were not for HUMIDITY!!! Grrrrrrr.

The trick: Stay indoors until that Perfect Day.
(Good thing my car is yellow; it makes the layer of tree pollen less noticeable.)

I have had many perfect days, but I must say that the most perfect day ever was December 2, 1987. (Met my wife for the first time – don’t you know)

Every day is perfect so long as we are in it with the one we love.

….and we have a fan, and sunscreen. Or blankets and a cozy fire…. all the usual coping mechanisms. Hope y’all have a perfect day today and always.

When you live in the South there’s maybe two truly perfect days. The end of summer & the end of winter!

In FL that day would be in early April. After pollen season is over and before A/C weather starts. May is too hot already.
