Another plan?! How many people were killed so far due to Tarzan’s former “brilliant” plans?

Why is it that every time Tarzan gets excited, people die horribly?

Let him go already, Tantor is probably willing to call it even and find a new herd,

What’s the big plan now, ape boy? Getting aliens to abduct Tantor?

I wonder: why would ERB make his hero look like such a nincompoop? Can it really be that back then, when this was written, African natives were pretty much dispensable, and so no harm, no foul?

In his moment of terror Tarzan had conceived of “Tantor-b-gone”!

@RayC: ERB would never have written this plot line. But then he did sell out for money to the studios, who corrupted the character, etc. and some of those plots were truly dumb. Not to mention having Tarzan being an incoherent doofus for years.
