Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
There isnât a lot to like about the latest reboot of Gil Thorp, but I do like this Mimi. The Animal Farm reference will fly above most of their heads, but it was goodâŠ
In all reality , MimI says I expect all you ladies to have read Animal Farm by Saturday and we will discuss it here at 7 AM , NO EXCUSES , miss and youâre off the team !After school Bud&Lou"s Milford School Supplies and Gun Emporium is overrun by softball players seeking the Cliff Note version of Animal Farm ,the unlucky ones have to settle for the Classic Comics version .
I still donât understand why the girls donât wear caps or at least visors to keep their fricking hair out of their eyes. It just doesnât make sense and every team I see pictures in our local sports sections shows girls wearing visors. Of course we still donât know what happened to the Thorp kids so I guess some mysteries are never solved.
I worked while home from college with the lead singer of a world champion barbershop quartet. Still have an LP in the basement.
I donât mean to be unkind, but Chief Lind should arrest all guilty parties for holding the Gil Pa readers hostage with this travesty of a storyline. To quote the great Monte Brewster, âSend âem to the showers.â
George Orwell? I sense an âAnimal Farmâ reference approaching.
âAll animals are equal, but some are more equal than othersâ?
I suppose it would be too much to expect something from âShooting an Elephantâ or âDown and Out in Paris and Londonâ or âHomage to Catalonia.â
I suppose that this supposed to be a lead-in the Mimi finally sayinâ ââŠIâve had just about enough of this childish bu**$h**âŠâ and ââŠ.give me those stupid pinsâŠNOWâŠ.and I want all of them tooâŠ.go get them back from all the kids youâve passed them out toâŠ.â
P3 â âWhoa! We were having a conversation in the outfield, and as you replied to my last statement we were somehow transported to the school greenhouse!â
And speaking of transporting, you can transport yourself to todayâs Mopped Up Thorp by going to the following link: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/

George Orwell? I think heâs that sophomore whoâs been in 42 of the 50 states. Not cool enough.

P1, You. . . You mean thatâs not cool?!?
P2, Thatâs what I say, how can we snark on something thatâs already so stupid?
P3, Mimiâs going to bench them and make them read?

Thanks, Coach, those pigs were so cool, walking around on two feet and all. Do you think we can sell any of these non-cool kids for alcohol?

Itâs not possible to see if that comment caused some EES with their backs turned towards us.
