The difference between today’s strip and politics is that in politics, nobody ever gets to the last two panels.

Hobbes will probably throw higher.

And why they switched to CalvinBall….

The pitcher is not the one that should be calling balls and strikes.

This is like the Game of Thrones conflict between Daenerys and Cercei. They hate each other but never talk to each other. Cersei stares out the window while drinking wine and Daenerys is on her dragon not talking to anyone.

So Calvin hits the ball, gets to excited and forgets he is on the ladder. Splat.

That’ll make ‘im stay in the batters’ box!

Wow, Hobbes is a terrible umpire, it was clearly out of the strike zone.

I can see some flaws in your delivery Hobbes…

I like how Hobbes is “orthodox” (right-handed) vs. Calvin’s “south paw” (left-handed) stance. :-)

Calvin is infinitely adaptable, which is the real basis for fun

This has to be at the top of the best. When I got hooked on C & H mom was out in the woods calling for Hobbes! It took her a bit to remember he is stuffed not real!

Calvin will get a hit now because he is sticking out his tongue.

This reminds me of the Red Sucks yesterday. Too bad, so sad. Losing builds character.

@BILAN, The “Pitcher” is one of the teams, and Calvin is the other team, (Hint; They are every in all the line up positions, both of them)

The best solution, is the simplest one.

Regardless… the game was a LOT of fun. : )

(Just to mention— it’s very difficult to hit a strike zone that measures about 6 inches vertical…)

I think they are a little Lacking on Team Members.
