I understand the value of exercise, but sometimes these things just seem a lot of effort for a pointless activity.

This is kind of the opposite of how Olympic swimmers do everything they can (notably including shaving off all their body hair) to reduce friction between themselves and the water.

Looks like some people show their personality by their tow float. Love it.

I haven’t seen one of those! There are a lot of flamingos and Pegasus unicorns, though

Jef must have read all the questions and explanations from the last cartoon showing the floats.

See a lot of walkers/runners but most show grim faces. They might be enjoying it, but it seems they have no way to express it. Maybe runners should use balloons, too.

As for Frazz, he often exercises his inner child.

More fun if someone is towing it and someone else is pushing it. That is how we crossed the lake when I was a teen.

Apparently women don’t use them.

Being an ex lake sailor I’d wonder about the problems Frazz might have with wind pushing the float in an undesired direction.

If you’re going to have a balloon floatie, have a cool one.

It used to be you’d only see those things attached to a rope stretched across the water. Now they’re putting them on swimmers!

I’ve simplified it a bit, but some of the key landmarks are there, and we get a pretty good crowd these days, so the scrum of swimmers is fairly accurate, too. It’s a great group of people, but they keep shrugging off my attempts at cleverness. While tow floats come in a bunch of different colors, most of our group has chosen a certain citrus color, but I can’t seem to make “The Orange Armada” stick. Nor can I get them to call Walnut Lake by my charming alternative, Loch Nut. They just keep speaking clearly and plainly, the heretics. So I’ll equip Frazz with his own Loch Nut Monster and see how that goes.

Exercise is dull unless you find a way to make it fun. Frazz seems to hardly ever find it dull.
