Major LOL before I even started reading it. Such synchronicity too. I only started reading Prince Val in the past couple of weeks. I don’t know anything about the previous artists after Hal Foster, but Thomas Yeates is awesome, imo.
Since most of Nancy’s “problems” sound more like teen-age problems – maybe the syndicate should let this “artist” go ahead and draw a teen-aged Nancy and let someone else take over drawing classic third-grade Nancy!
Ice cream, the longing for ice cream, the joy of ice cream, the dread of dropped ice cream. Those were frequent subjects throughout the Bushmiller years and Olivia Jaimes has turned to the theme more than once.
Heck, it’s so much an element of Nancy tradition that this is the image that appeared on the U. S. Postal Service’s “Nancy” commemorative stamp….
Bushmiller would often do a strip for Labor Day where there was “less to draw” as a gag. For Olivia to take up the tradition is an obscure pull indeed.
Many thanks to @cellardoor: If you hadn’t posted this link today, I would have missed 2019 Labor Day’s strip altogether! https://www.dailycartoonist.com/index.php/2019/09/03/nancy-the-labor-day-tradition-continues/

Is that in the style of Prince Valiant??

I always knew Hal Foster was short for Hallie Foster – OJ’s true identity laid bare at last!
And the tribute to Ernie’s Labour Day strips. The “Next: Sluggo’s Response”. There is so much to love with this strip.
I legit want an old school OJ adventure strip now. She’s got time, right?

I don’t know. I rather have the Steve Canyon look, like Bernard Volpicelli Jr’s avatar.

So… this a “real” reveal of the artist (is Olivia actually Hal) or is this actually Olivia just messing with us and she duplicated his style?

Now, there’s a comic strip you don’t see lampooned every day!

I have finally figured out who “Olivia Jaimes” is! She is the late John Cullen Murphy!

No one seems to have mentioned Snow White. This “princess” version of Nancy reminds me of Snow White but with Nancy’s bow in her hair.

I do the coloring and lettering for Prince Valiant. I just received a new one to start working on, so this reminds me to get going!

If she looks like Prince(ss) Valiant, does this mean that this story arc is going to run for 3 months or more? :-O
