Most kids in everything up to high school seniors were born after it happened.

The same thing happened to Pearl Harbor and the JFK shooting and everything else in history – they just became things in books.

To never forgive is to be in emotional bondage to your enemy. You feel the anger, not them. Those who are able to forgive will tell you how FREE they feel for having done it.

I remember being at work early that day and going down to get something from the vending machine room where they had a TV and that’s when I first found out what had happened in New York.

This always begs the question of what we choose to remember and what we choose to forget. We certainly remember 9/11 and Pearl Harbor on December 7 — but during the recent commemorations of the 400th anniversary of slavery being brought to this continent, countless people wrote, “Why dredge up the past?” Same happened when the US government officially apologized for the interment of Japanese-Americans in camps during World War II — there was outrage that we were dredging up the past. Maybe we should only remember when someone else does us wrong or when we do something glorious?

It’s not hard for me to hate the terrorists, but be OK with the religion. Muhammad Ali, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are all Muslim, and all great people.

Happy National Hate Muslims day everyone. Remember to appropriately co-opt the tragic death of several thousand people so you can justify discriminating against an entire religion that you barely knew existed and definitely didn’t care about before 9/11.

September 11th 2001.. a date that will live in infamy, brought on by terrorists who opposed American ideology; terrorists who murdered 3000+ plus people including in the planes. I wish we had a brief window into Hell to see the everlasting torment of the terrorists who did NOT receive their 72 virgins but instead see no rest to their torment, no end to their suffering, no way to shift the body to ease the pain.

Only 2 of the sibling comic strips were in remembrance of 9/11. Only B.C. turned a blind eye this year.

I want the people that click on sites that are against Muslims or the Islamic faith to know the following:1. They are descendants of Abraham through his first son Ishmael. So they believe in the same God as Christians & Jews.2. Jesus is mentioned in the Koran several times and they consider Him a prophet. As one said it is the extremists. Who in my view are not true believers of Islam.I am a Christian & do not claim to know a lot about their beliefs but just what I have learned from fact checking & after checking the facts I also ask my pastor from what she knows about their religion.

Why hate a group of people because of their beliefs? We have to remember that no matter what we believe we are all God’s children.

We remember the innocent lives lost and the way the country came together. We also remember Pearl Harbor day but do not hate the Japanese. We remember a defining moment in our history.

Can’t we all be Americans – or at least humans – and come together, at least for today, out of respect for the sacrifices made that day?
