Well, NOW what are Bets and the boys going to do in order to help Tiffany?

The boyz need to get in a stiff competition to see who can help her out the most. Each one outdoing the other.

Actually, by not taking a commission, Gunther is behaving 100% better than Les…

Main source of paying bills is parents. Little jobs also help. But Tiff’s main source has been undermined by Ann Eiffel. She needs to be neutralized with the help of the number one consulting con man……….TJ.

Here we are headed to another cockamamie scheme and there is no Luann in sight.

Gunther and Les trying to compete with each other: if the boys start this it will only end in “chip&dale” childish antics that won’t help tiffany in any way and will only take Tiff and Bets see these boys as just that…immature boys.

What Gunther and Les need to do is what they won’t do: get over themselves and work together to reach a common goal; working with Bets to help Tiffany out of a financial jam. Then Tiff and bets might see them both as growing up.

Tiff really needs to learn to post on eBay herself. It’s not that hard. And she hasn’t corrected Bets’s assumption she ‘aced our microeconomics exam.’

Hey – Wait a minute! Gunther has offered to donate 50% of Tiff’s sales – what about Bets’s share?

And Les Knox continues to point the finger of “blame” at Gunther for charging a 50% eBay commission, while holding himself “blameless,” for happily and CONTINUALLY TAKING, 50% of Tiffany’s tips. TYPICAL.

Hey Knox? See that Very Attractive Young woman that just walked thru the door? It was HER “idea” to charge Tiffany 50%, not Gunther’s. So get in HER face with it if you DARE. And everyone would do well to remember, that it was Les Knox that STARTED this pointless “blame game“ back on October 12th. I can see why Bets stormed out on him on their first and ONLY date.

Actually, I’m GLAD the real “Brains” of the outfit, showed up. Hopefully between Bets and the two “Katzenjammer kids” here, some sort of viable solution to at least PART of Tiffany’s “problems,” will present itself. And the Fact that Best is easy on the eyes, doesn’t HURT, either. But while I’ve been hoping for months now that Bets and Tiffany will eventually become roommates, I’m not getting My hopes up too high. Not yet, anyway.

But Bets was right about one thing. And she said it months ago. Les Knox IS a JERK.

Don’t be so noble Gunther. You’re way passed nobility.

Giving away that 50% makes Gunther 100% better in my book. Whether Bets is as generous as he is, is another thing…

Will Bets agree with Gunther’s decision? Will she have any good ideas for helping Tiffany? How will she react when she realizes that Tiffany has not aced the test and lied to her? Too many questions and i love it.

Bets seems empathetic to Tiff’s plight. Looks like she may go along with Gunther’s largesse. Mordock pointed out that Tiffany gifted Bets with a chemise in an earlier strip. To me it points to a major shift in Tiffany’s character. Remember that she held the Miss Self-centered mantle for decades. It’s time for a little consideration among friends from these three. What Les proffers in the next few days will say something about where GnK are taking his character.

Somewhere in the near future I see a girl-to-girl meeting, instigated by Bets, where the truth about Tiff’s class performance comes out. Remedial efforts of some sort will ensue (perhaps involving hilarity, 1212). This will cement them as new BFFs.

Sad that BOTH of them are taking advantage of her… 50% for posting on eBAY is sad. You don’t do that to your friends.

Most everything’s already been sold. Gunther’s position is only noble if he also offers to give her back the money he’s already charged her.

Somehow, Tiff reminds me of Frenchy, the beauty school dropout in Grease. Clueless.

There is a thread among commenters that the remedy to this situation is to invoke either TJ or Al in a “witch killer” role. I don’t think GnK are ready for something like that yet. But either of those characters could provide a storyline. Let’s handicap the two characters.

TJ is a conniver. He has defeated Ann in the past by getting revenge for his best bud, Brad, betting fired by Ann at Weenieworld. He could get involved as he is Tiffany’s boss at the Fuse. Ann is familiar with TJ via that encounter so she would be “shields up” at any encounter between the two. In fact it is somewhat surprising that they never bumped heads at the Fuse. TJ might solve Tiff’s problem with Ann but it’s hard to visualize the restoration of Tiff’s relationship with her father.

Al on the other hand comes across as a world wise “fixer” from his days as a manager in Lost Wages, NV. Ann is his sister, but he seems to have more affinity with his nephew, Les, Ann’s son. He provided Les with the means of terminating his involvement with his mother by blackmailing her over a List of names of people she had swindled. His past is largely hidden but appears slightly sinister. It is almost certain that he has some knowledge of Ann’s past that would be exploitable. Almost any scenario would seem to impact Ann’s relationship with Tiff’’s father.

IF such a rescue storyline were to materialize – advantage Al Gray!

BUT I don’t think GnK are ready to stroll down that avenue yet.

We have a winner, BlueCreek!!! The only thing Gunther has agreed to do is give the 50% of the CURRENT items, and he suddenly looks noble; please…. I suspect the Gunther “earned” has been spent on items for future Cons he planned to attend with Bets. Giving the past money he’s “earned” is difficult at best as a seamstress (only possible job we can estimate since we’ve never seen Gunther work, same for Irma. Hmmm making me wonder who has the true illegal contacts, Mr. Grey [whos shown he can manage and is connected to legal businesses] or Maw Irma who appears to work out of the house… wonder what that could be since she doesn’t appear technically savvy, a realtor, or other legal out of the home jobs). Anti-Les crowd, you now want Les to give up his past, current, and future profiteering profits while parting when Gunther has only committed to giving up his current 50%….

Bet is a little out of the loop. WE all know Tiff didn’t fair to well with the exam. I get the feeling we will see some crawling back to daddy moment here soon.

This storyline is 50 percent stupid and 50 percent dumb.

Tiffany aced an exam? That has to be a typo.

Tiff really needs to talk to her Father alone, without Ann around. More than likely he has no idea what is going on.

The boys know that Tiffany is having trouble in school. When she first arrived to hand Gunther the bag of clothes to sell, she told them “the more I work, the worse I do in school.” Will they remember, and challenge or correct Bets’s belief that Tiffany aced her exam?

TJ would come up with a “sting” just for the fun of matching minds with Ann. Since money seems to be so important to her, let’s figure out how to kick her in her assets.

What matters most is the fact that they care enough to try to help my Beloved Tiffany. They can fail repeatedly as long as they keep trying.

They are not just thinking about what is best for them.

(And that is actually what is best for them.)

I think Tiffany should perhaps bow out of Uni and get into cosmetology school – become licensed and open her GREAT idea for the nail studio. She could REALLY succeed at that and not kill herself to become a bad Reese Witherspoon re-make.

I don’t know if Bets is gonna go with zero commission… maybe down to 10%. Maybe they’ll start a GoFundMe for her, but they’ll have to come up with a better reason than just that she’s broke. Hmmm…is it too early for a Kickstarter for her new business?

It was Bet’s idea to take 50%! Gunther should have knocked it down to 25% !

Now the trio is experiencing a guilt trip.

Will they develop a “crazy scheme”?

Will they confront Annie?

Will they confront Tiff’s Dad?

Will they do a fundraiser?

Will they….. whatever else?

For me, the far bigger question is about Tiffany’s grade. She needs to, IMO, be focusing much more of her energy on THAT part of her troubles. Again, at this stage in the Semester, if Mooney is like nearly any other university….. she is not paying her dorm and board on a month-to-month basis….. she has to at the very least have her dorm already paid through the end of December. Therefore, while it is important for Tiffany to figure out a better/more stable financial situation…… it is NOT currently the most pressing need IMO.

The last frame shows that Bets has a good heart. But I bet she can be tough as well.Bets is certainly an interesting new character – as was Tara.

How about starting a GoFundMe on-line for her!!!!?!?!

I don’t think Tiff aced any exam, a misunderstanding I think. but I also don’t believe Tiff intentionally lied to Bets. She said her exam t was fine but also used the word ‘fail’ to describe herself.

Everyone – this is Tiffany we’re talking about. Who wants to help her? She’s the one person everyone should hate and wish to just go away – permanently.

Poor Tiffany. They need to cheer her up.

And, she Lied about acing the exam.

Which might also explain why she thought a 50/50 split on the Tips & E-bay sales commission was a Good Deal.

Here’s the problem, Tiffany is partly to blame for her own financial problems by demanding a private dorm room, she set herself up to fail by making deals with the boys to give them 50% of the money she needed. She had to make a deal with Les because she wanted a job that meant NOT getting her manicured hands dirty. She has champagne taste on a tap water budget. She’s having a difficult time adjusting to not having her rich dad to come bail her out.

Gunther is feeling sorry for himself to feeling like he took advantage of her by charging 50% of her ebay sales and he would have done it for free.

Les isn’t accepting responsibility for Tiff’s finances because he’s partially mad at her for making him give her his server job. He feels he deserves that 50% of her tips so she wouldn’t have to take the dishwasher job.

Les isn’t really interested is making friends but Gunther is.

I actually did not write an original comment today! I guess it’s been that busy. Let me just say I have seen some really interesting and thoughtful comments today, for once I am not going to preach. Clearly there is a setup to help Tiffany, while so much other change has happened as context. I mean Les is civil with Bets, after he teased Tiffany, and brought to Gunther the ethical issue of taking 50% of money they are tangentially involved with her earning, tips and lingerie. She is broke, and she cannot give up and go back to Black Hole of her dad and Ann in defeat, but how? For some the fact that Les is not drooling, or intimidating after two hot females have come to the “gulag” in quick succession should be noted I would think. Gunther is showing up Les by giving up his 50% (will Bets agree?) ,so will Les punt or take up the ball and let her have 100% of her tips? TG I am not sure Al or TJ is needed here, but then again we never know where GnK are going to go.

I may applaud Gunther’s action, but not the Attitude of smugness in trying to one-up Leslie (who needs no help coming across creepy). Bets still does not understand the seriousness all around of the Tiffster’s Sitcon Red….

The old C-47 was a slow, rumbling, tail dragger airplane that seemed to take forever to get off the ground. Pretty much like this storyline.
