This would be a great first chapter to a dystopian science fiction video game.

I welcome our alien overlords. (Yeah, I know, it doesn’t match my avatar, but I’m too old to fight anymore.)

Um, I thought it was designed by a human, Robert (The Music Man) Preston to defeat the aliens?

The Last Starfighter certainly wasn’t one of the best sci-fi movies. But it’s noteworthy because it’s the very first movie to use CGI.

Btw, she’s way too young to know that movie.

I don’t think that the kid that played the video game & got the high score was the one that got abducted to fight the aliens. Wasn’t it someone else who happened by chance to be by the video machine just after the game winner had just walked away?

Online comics are written by aliens to make us soft and lazy! (That’s my excuse.)

I forgot the race/species, but his character was definitely alien. Humanoid, but not homo sapiens,

I am far too distracted by Pam to give one whit about alien invasions. (Hmmmm. Perhaps she’s an alien?!)

Robert Preston was an alien sent to find whoever had beaten the game. I always thought the kid went with him, not to save the Universe, but to get away from his annoying Mother.

The worst part is that as we train our entire focus on video games and the other distractions of the digital age, they will be able to completely take over before most people even notice they’re here.

In reality, video games improve eye hand coordination.

    From Wikipedia:

Ender’s Game is a 1985 military science fiction novel by American author Orson Scott Card. Set at an unspecified date in Earth’s future, the novel presents an imperiled humankind after two conflicts with the Formics, an insectoid alien species they dub the “buggers”. There is PDF of it at:

Why would aliens want Earth anyway?

Video games were invented so that our personal skills would drop to the point of thumb dexterity and eye-hand coordination, insuring the ability of the government, big business and religion to retain control over society through mind manipulation.

Or fun. Hard to tell. All I know is I’ve never seen a hard-core gamer accomplish anything other than maybe assemble a computer desk (or alternately on very, very rare occasion, win $100 grand in a contest). Some may think I’m exaggerating, but seriously, not. I was once an accomplished neurosurgeon before YouTube and Netflix hit the Internet.

Okay, maybe I exaggerate. It took World of Warcraft to sink the deal.
