They’re starting this one early — casting now for a production in the spring! I got the impression that one or two of the previous ones were more last-minute.
No surprise that it’s Fritz Lang’s Metropolis — there were more than enough clues about that yesterday.
While looking for info about Metropolis, I found this web site that is an interactive walkthrough of Metropolis. It is sort of in the style of old computer text games, where you choose a direction and it takes you to different locations of the movie. It’s fun, if you like those old computer games.
The Patterson Playhouse should be developing a reputation as being a jinxed location, so many crimes break out there in the course of theatrical presentations! So, Mr. Flintheart is taking a big risk, going from a barebones low-cost Our Town to an expensive extravaganza like an all-new live version of Metropolis; sets, costumes, large cast all will make this probably the highest budget ever at the Patterson! Maybe the glitz will overcome audience apprehension about gunfire breaking out during the show.
Meanwhile, Splitty is getting his “props” together for his production of Kill Tracy! Part 2….
