It’s actually possible that her arms are bare in this outfit, except for the “bracelets.” Anyway, she looks seductive enough to attract someone’s attention.
After looking over the January 8 strip, I’m convinced the colorist got it right, at least in terms of the suit covering the full body. If she was wearing bracelets, but otherwise her arms were meant to be bare, the costume in the Jan 8 strip would’ve shown just empty spaces between the “bracelets” and the rest of the suit. Instead, Staton clearly drew a costume that covers her arms along with the rest of her body.
The pathetically hysterical part about this all, is that Mike is so RIDICULOUSLY out of touch with his audience and what THEY want to see, that he actually believes that EVERYONE shares his interests.
The old saying “write what you know” is meant as a guideline for writers to not get in over their heads and go too far, and to “remain grounded”. I think Mike takes it to the level of “write whatever you want and force it upon the readers even if they dont enjoy it”
The pointless crossovers simply to have a crossover regardless of how unfeasible the story is, the mishandling of established characters, and the repeated Sweatbox Endings prove that, while in the beginning he MAY have had a handle on things and a “promising start” you cant keep throwing crap against the wall and hope it turns into bouquets
2-BP9000 w/HANDLES INSIDE: BOO! I’m a Preying Mantis. Come here. You’ll enjoy the first half of our courtship.
3-(SOCIETY SECTION HEADLINE): “SPACE BUG” ACTUALLY THEATER GEEZER’S NEW SQUEEZE
Sugar Daddy admits that sending Handles out in costume was just an effort to get a free notice in the newspaper that he “is no longer responsible for any debts former wife, Barber Pole, may incur”. In a candid moment, Sugar Daddy admitted that, even with his wealth, it’s now necessary to go to other worlds to get a hot chick willing to date him. “Well” he said, “she looks like a chick…I haven’t had an opportunity to see if everything is located where an earthman would expect. Frankly, it no longer really matters…”

I don’t think we have to guess who’s reading the paper.

So clearly that’s the hero, Freder, in panel 1. Do we know the actor?
Is there a source for the name “Futura” for the robot? I don’t think that’s from the movie.

Can we hurry up and get to the rushed, eye rolling ending?
Sorry, I’m definitely being biased here. I’ve never liked this fake Moon Maid character and I doubt I ever will.
The only thing that would change my mind is if Mad Mindy and that lecherous Vitamin took a space coup and flew off to the stars, never to return.
THAT would get a 5 star review by me!
