Not enough. Back when I heard about these in the news (in the 1980s?), true or not, I read that the feds paid $600 per toilet seat and $800 per hammer. At an airshow, the tour guide leading folks through a P3 Orion, pointed out the restroom and said, “Look in side. You can see one of our $600 toilet seats. Don’t ask what the toilet cost.”
I remember years ago on 60 Minutes, Walter Cronkite was on then, and they had one of their spots on pricing for stuff the military purchases. Think it was the episode with the $900 toilet seats for the submarines !
The next time that a moderator at a political debate asks a candidate where he/she is going to get the money to pay for universal healthcare the answer should be “From all the extra money not needed by the military”.

That would only cover the toilet seat and one hammer. Better make it fifteen hundred.

Well, the military funds are being diverted to the “wall construction” so maybe make it $500.00

It’s the tooling charges that make small orders so expensive.

What’s up with the different uniform pants on these two?

I’m blanking on a project or game that requires two hammers and a toilet seat. If you can think of any, please tell someone else. Thank you.

And that’s with the military discount. [Shouldn’t that be ‘upcount’?]
