The really sad thing about living as long as I have, is to go from a president who says; "ask what you can do for your country (they shoot him in the head), to president; “what’s in it for me?”
If we weren’t sure before, we can be now: the GOP literally DOES NOT CARE that #45 is utterly corrupt, invited foreign powers to interfere with the election and is doing it again, and is a traitor to this nation.
They are ACTIVELY participating in a coverup, in violation not just of their oaths, but of their citizenship. Everyone is going along. Not one single GOP senator has offered a peep about the open and shameless transformation of a court into a kangaroo court designed to sweep evidence under the rug.
Thank you Mike, great depiction of the truth. We are all so thankful that their are still Cartoonist, Editors and Author’s that are not afraid to tell the truth!
I expressed to my senators (both Republicans) that today’s convenience will not wear well with history.
I am reminded of Baldwin’s line in “Kingdom of Heaven”:
When you stand before God, you cannot say, “But I was told by others to do thus,” or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice. Remember that.
“Franklin, I know you Americans are technically neutral, but the Nazis have severely interdicted our supply lines, and we could really use the food, medicine, and materiel that you said you’d send us under the Lend-Lease Program. What’s holding it up?”
“Well, Winston, yes, we said we’d be happy to help. I would like you to do us a favor, though. Have you got any dirt on Tom Dewey? We’ll wait to hear from you.”

Cult followers don’t question their leader. It appears the so-called moderates have been subverted/converted to the cause.
