Maybe they don’t use base 10. But I can’t be bothered to check how they count. Just check how many fingers he has…..

Art is imitating life here, unfortunately. There have been lawsuits filed over the cultural insensitivity of word problems in math classes. Or so I’ve read.

He needs to demonstrate his method to the professor, because with math we need to show the work.

Doesn’t the prof know that the concept of ‘advanced’ is a racist, homophobic, phallocentric concept?

Future sports commentator. It is a job with no consequences that could be handled by an entertaining beer loaded orangutan. Sports bookies have to understand numbers.

That 12 is the square root of 144 is an “alternative fact.”

OMG!! We’re we all so perfect as teenagers?! Jeez! I used to complain about how much better and dedicated my Chinese students were than my American students. I recently found out how many of my American students are working second shift in order to pay their tuition and books. I don’t talk about the Chinese students so much any more. ‘Cause you know the Chinese teens aren’t out there at Sheetz until 10 o’clock for minimum wage just so they can stay in school.

In Seattle their policy compels instructors to teach that “math has been and continues to be used to oppress and marginalize people and communities of color”.
