Well, sure. I’m not going to sink to whataboutism, so I’ll just note that he refused to shake her hand, and she kept her composure throughout the ordeal. I at least got to stand up and hit the throne room when it got too dense in the TV room. And she clearly made her point, first non-verbally, then quite specifically in words of few syllables.

Phil, did you swallow all Trumps claims, self-promotion and electioneering? Nancy reflected my views in an acceptable manner of protest. Certainly not in the cheap manner you have presented. Your choice of president and party have given the middle finger to the Constitution, our Founding Fathers and the rest of us. That is far worse than Nancy Pelosi’s action.

Trump’s reality show version of what was once an internationally respected presidential address shows that trying to be the “adults in the room” cannot mitigate the lies, schmaltzy insincere sentiment and manufactured outrage that Trump has perfected for the retards at his rallies..

Even without the foreign influence of Drumph’s dictatorial buddies, or the AI enabled bubbles of rage that the surveillance capitalists created and that these Trumptards gleefully inhabit, the technology underlying these media – direct descendants of online pornography that they are – are intrinsically suited to monetizing the urges of the illiterate and instinctual idiots of the world into a lethal cocktail of populist nihilistic chaos.

Is it any surprise that these illiterate idiots are such useful tools for those who control technologies exploiting such socially flawed media? Not the guilty gateway ‘guardians’ like Google and Farcebook but those who employ the next generation of technology like Caimbridge Analytica got caught using. Technologies that enabled Brexit, fanned the flames of Charlottesville.. Technologies that have their origins in psyops conducted by Russians in the Ukraine and Georgia – and by China in Hong Kong and Taiwan..

Here on this site, trolls like Rockbreaker of Hardlabor, Remedial Hood, Brassy Oblivion, etc., have clearly intuited that just as their false god Cheeto Jesus instinctively demonstrated in his reality TV political rise, virtual circuses to rile up todays retrograde retarded Romans reliably rule the roost..

What is the proper response to a president who has violated his oath of office, who has abused his power, who has obstructed congress? Democracy in the US is in real trouble, and we’re worrying about etiquette?

The ideas of “let the nation heal” for the Nixon pardon and “let’s move forward” for the war crimes under Bush 43 is what brought the U.S. to our current Trumpism nightmare. The Dems need to be tougher.

Elections are a good thing; they usually make it possible to work out social conflicts without violence. Likewise the Judicial system. But there are times when those systems fail to do their job. I grew up in the segregated South, and elections and the courts maintained a system of oppression. In order to correct those abuses it was necessary to act outside the electoral and judicial system. We now honor the people who broke the law and went to jail for freedom, but we have forgotten their message. We are now faced with a serious threat to democracy in the US. The Senate has demonstrated that it is not up to the job of defending the Constitutional system of checks and balances. The Republicans in the Senate have sold their souls and they have failed their responsibilities. So what do we do? Here are a couple of things we shouldn’t do: we shouldn’t imagine that we are in normal times; and we shouldn’t get tied up in silly arguments about trivialities. There are fundamental issues at stake here.

And of course, this is what one would call “Gross Exaggeration” and barely depicts reality.

If their roles were reversed (Trump acting on Nancy’s speech), he would have shredded it up, trampled it and taken a dump on it.

Very weak Phil. Trump shredded the truth with his lies in the SOTU address and turned it into a reality show and campaign speech. Of course it should be ripped up.
