How about: “Hi! We’re humans. What are you?”

Go away, aliens. And keep your viruses with you. We got enough troubles with earth grown ones.

“Cain’t please nobody” should do for the protoplasm aliens.

Actually a very good point. If those plaques had been created today, there would be no consensus on the proper wording or pictures…

You can’t use anyone. That would offend those who share a hive mind. An example would be the Borg.

If you’ve spent decades convincing a population that they’re victims, you’re going to get a population of victim-thinkers.
