Wonder just how much less CO has been produced since the âhunker downâ regs came into use? Atmosphere has got to measure relatively cleaner, even if only by a tiny amount.
I live near the Bluewater Bridges (yes, side-by-side spans carrying multiple lanes of traffic between Port Huron, MI and Sarnia, Ontario, Canada). On any ânormalâ day, traffic is backed up and creeps along for hours. We are still allowed to go to the Thomas Edison Parkway viewing area to walk, sit in the car and enjoy the calming effects of the St. Clair River, or photograph passing ships. With the new C-virus mandates, itâs beyond strange to see only an occasional vehicle on the Bridges and even stranger the quiet that brings!
In my neck of the woods traffic hasnât dropped off near that much. Fools are still flocking to the few stores that are still open just to âshopââŠ.
I live in the San Francisco Bay area and a consequence of this decrease in traffic is much cleaner air. The other night I looked up to the ski and actually saw the Big Dipper! Hadnât see it for a long, long time. Keep safe everyone, wash your hands!
Iâm considered essential (oil industry) so my commute continues. I have added 2 MPG to my average since I donât hit traffic jams on my way home. It is weird, tho.

I live in a small town (8k), and traffic is still the same â so many people are sure itâs only in the cities.

If there is one thing that we do not need to be reminded about, it is this. I read the comics to escape, thank you.

I drove down our main street yesterday and not one car parked anywhere and there is a casino on each end of the block.
