I live near a fire station, and I can hear the traffic of a nearby throughfare. Despite everything being closed down, I’m hearing far more emergency vehicles than usual. Domestic violence has tripled here in the last few months, and these calls are the most dangerous calls to take on a daily basis because of the violent and crazy people involved. CORVID-19 isn’t the only danger out there.
Yup. And let us not forget those who keep us supplied – from grocery/store workers, to delivery people, to the sanitation (janitors too) people, and the restaurants that still make food to-go! All of them who help keep us sane!
Paraphrasing something I saw elsewhere (wish I could give credit to originator but I don’t know who that is):
We are finding out who our REAL heroes are … and they aren’t the CEOs, athletes, movie stars, singers and celebrities. They are the people making minimum wage to grow, deliver, stock, prepare and serve food … teachers … health care workers at all levels … sanitation workers … law enforcement/firefighters/first responders ….
Hope we remember this when we get to the other side.

Been there! Put oversized wheel on bike, wheel came off going down hill . Didn’t have helmets back then, just pain and road rash.

Good thing Red’s wearing a helmet, even a plastic one is better than none.
