Not sure I like the new direction the strip has taken recently. I will give it some time to see the direction it goes before deciding to remove it from my feed or not.
“I will make every day of their life hell. That’s not a threat. It’s a promise.” “I’ll get them and their little doggie too” “I’ll show them. I’ll show them ALL!!!!”
I have been a huge fan for years and I can not like in anyway or form this new style of drawing. All the characters look the same, there is no variety or difference. I am afraid to see what will be done to Mrs. Angelini. Please go back to the old way of illustrating. If it continues I expect to quit reading it and I will miss it.

This is the first one to remind me of the old Heart.

Sometimes you got to do what you Gotta do. “Cough, cough” Of course I’m not actually recommending revenge LOL

Also I love how Heart puts her hands up in the air in complete innocence

Am I the only one feeling like somebody else is feeding Heart in the second panel?

Hey, older fans, is there a backstory about Heart’s unusual first name? The Wikipedia article about the strip was of no help there.

Addy wears glasses now, as so many of us need to as we get older.

What in the name of Cthulu does she have on her fork? Mom serving a Klingon dish?

This could be the worst transition to a new “format” ever in a comic strip. I’m done with it.

This is not the Heart of the City that I know and love. Please discontinue this script!

Okay… I’m out. Can’t even tell the difference between Dean and Heart’s mom. Sorry, kid. Good luck with the strip.

When is the original art going to resume? It was charming. The current art is not.

I’m new to this strip. Has the title character always been that nasty?

That’s Mom? I thought it was another classmate. They look about the same age.

What has happened to the older illustrator? I enjoyed their illustrations better than the new ones. This doesn’t even look like Heart of the City!

At first, I didn’t like the new look. But what I did was simply treat it as a whole new strip. Now it’s starting to grow on me.

I truly thought Addy was one of Heart’s friends. Wow. Can’t even tell she is the adult. sigh.
