Man !  This broad aint gonna let it go until she “gets her man”. She don’t know how rough ‘hill’ women can get but she may just find out.

Maybe Tracy can warn B.O. so that he can get an order forbidding her to contact him. Or tell him and his wife what they might expect.

It took, what… 7 or 8 days to get to the point of this visit?

Compared to the action packed breakneck speed of the last minit mystery, Mike is looking like a hack

Instead of Dick Tracy BO should have sent a lawyer. That would have scared the pee outta any movie production company.

So she’s as much a …well I won’t say in a family strip as Breathless was. Wonderful…

1-FORTUNE: Did I ever tell you about the time I was so sick the doctors wouldn’t even come in the room to treat me?

2-DT: Well, I’ve heard that some types of crabs can jump up to 6 feet.

3-FORTUNE: It wasn’t that silly. DT: Are you sure? I kinda like this coat. I’d hate to have to burn it.

FORTUNE: Yeah. It would be hard to replace. You’d have to go to the Goodwill, buy a bunch of 50-year old children’s yellow raincoats and have a tailor make a new one.

DT: Or just take him a bunch of my old underwear.

FORTUNE: Huh? DT: Huh?

So DT may have detected that she’s gone off into the deep end?

Anyone know how long it’s been since a new villain appeared in the strip? Has to be 2-3 months. Creativity? I think not

So Tracy is asking Fortuna not to contact B.O. Plenty. Why did B.O. feel the need to hide the newspaper coverage about the movie from Gertie? He knows how the original Breathless met her demise. Somehow I can’t see B.O. getting the " 7 year itch" over a movie star.

Actually, I’d kinda like this snippy little actress go to see B.O., just to see what Gertie would do to her.

So, as I understand it (I’m not a Tracy historian like many here), Junior Tracy and Sparkle Plenty are married. Yiddish has a word for the relationship between the Tracy and Plenty parents: “In Yiddish, your parents and your spouse’s parents would be machatunim (approximate pronunciation: mah-cha-tuh-num, with the “cha” rolled in the back of your throat).” (Thank you Google)

It’s beginning to look as though Fortuna’s personality is being displaced by that of Breathless as the actress learns more about the criminal she’s about to portray.

We don’t (or I at any rate don’t) know Fortuna’s real motives yet, but she gives off a decidedly bad vibe, as though she is conniving to hatch some malevolent scheme once she has all the information she wants and “needs” ostensibly for her rôle. The preceding post by dsjwriter suggests that her own personality could be subsumed into that of Breathless Mahoney and that she might, as Breathless, rescind her forgiveness of B.O. and instead seek vengeance. —Just a possibility….
