Unfortunately no system uses a negatives profiles like “hates Kitsch” or “no gore” (blood or the politician), to keep one open for things one hasn’t disliked yet.
Not even Netflix has that option – there your negatives apparently are valued as “interest in that field” and you get spammed with even more kitsch or crap of the kind you gave a thumbs down.
Depending on what you like to watch on YouTube then the suggested videos will be based on your watch history. Google owns YouTube so they work nicely together in some respects.

Getting bubbled is infuriating and boring. That’s why I refuse to be followed by the apps and clean out my cookies regularly.

For YouTube, go to History, then clear your browsing history, and your search history, then it has to start all over.
