Mama mammoth is dead and the baby is the dog reincarnate.

Bet you a nickel the boy and the baby mammoth can talk to each other.

This is where an expert on all things history is going to come along and pick out that his clothes would not keep him warm. And his shoes are also out of time frame. But I want to know what he tied his hair up with!? Most plant fiber would have blown away with that strong wind!!!

Makes me remember Wacky and Packy on the saturday morning cartoons a life time ago.

And so “global warming” starts……. (with nary an SUV or coal plant around)

Ah, symbolism. The mother mammoth represents Earth, the baby is the loss we all must feel one day. And Homer, represents the rapacious and greedy creatures, we know as man.Am I the only one who puts his milk into the bowl first, and then adds the appropriate amount of Cocoa puffs? Just asking for a friend.

Oh no, we have a mammoth problem.

I once had an acquaintance who said there is no cruelty in nature. Maybe not, but there is a lot of suffering.

Does language enable ideation? Or does the formulation of a wordless idea drive the creation of language in order to share the idea? And does Homer realize that he has created sarcasm, in the first panel? And did the question mark exist, waiting to be discovered, or did Homer have to invent it?
