Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Hank Aaron hit 755 HRs in 12364 At Bats. Babe Ruth hit 714 HRs in only 8399 ABs. Nearly 4K less. With a lifetime BA of .342, the Babe is still king. BTW, after Hank, I don’t count the numbers put up with the help of steroids.
Reminds me of the 1926 World Series. It ended when Babe Ruth (a career 50% base-stealer) was thrown out trying to steal second, with Bob Meusel at the plate and Lou Gehrig on deck in a two-run game.
Forget Linus, Schroeder, and Lucy (actually, Lucy’s probably thrilled he wasn’t touching second). Charlie Brown best book a flight to Antartica real fast and hope Little America will have a position for him before Snoopy gets over how he just cost him his chance to tie the Babe’s record. Telling him to hit a hommer and leading the bag that much, he was just begging to be tagged out.

Look, Charlie Brown got on second. He did his job. Snoopy didn’t drive him home.

And Charlie Brown messes up again.

Fairs fair Snoopy. You caused Charlie Brown to forfeit the only game he had won by betting with Rerun.

Wait a minute. In Little League, runners are NOT allowed to lead off the bases until the pitch is made. CB … you Blockhead!
jagedlo over 4 years ago
with all the dust, was that Pigpen who tagged CB out at second?

You Peanuts just can’t win.

I knew this was going to happen because this is one of the comics that stuck in my mind. I was kind of dreading seeing this, but at least it is over.

Sometimes you win; sometimes you lose; sometimes you don’t get to play at all.

I got picked off 2nd base once. Might be the most embarrassing thing that can happen to you in baseball. I’m still feeling the shame.

No wonder Charlie Brown’s team always loses – except for when they plays Peppermint Patty’s team, they can’t even see the other players!

Remember what Snoopy did to the bat earlier? That is going to be Chuck’s leg, next.
