From grabbing duck fellow earlier I would wager a guess they were after Chic….we don’t know all the characters in Cardoodles……Kirby may not have been one.
For some reason I’m getting LOST season 6 vibes; probably due to the implication that certain persons need to be collected in a certain place in order to transcend or whatnot.
Irony one: We do not know if one or two were to be left behind.
Irony two: Against all odds, the Toothbrush Tribune was in English, so all of us could know what was going on. But now, we are not to know what the Marx’s are up to?
HA ha! beautiful visual depiction of the hazards “playing God”: how to sort out the tangled thread of love. Aaron Marx has stubbornly eschewed any standard but one: “the greater good”; lets see how the Marx family sorts this combo.

They tried to separate them but had to take them as they were. Who were they going to leave behind? Probably Chick.

They may have wanted to separate them to facilitate carrying … but maybe not. In any case, they are all going to … where ever…
Excellent!
Must have been amusing, trying to set up that third panel for drawing!

It would be really hard to see them seperated. Wherever they’re going, I hope they go together.

If they are in stasis, it may be necessary to separate their time streams in order to get them apart.

Question: I wonder if there is any significance to the Marxs’ that are dealing with Kirbee and Chic being of the same gender and size?

Whatever happens, we know it will be interesting – and probably not what most of us thought.

So from the last installment:
Kid Marx to Fop Marx: Better take a look at this
Fop Marx: What have we got here?
Um, oh, they’re locked together.
Er, but only one’s on my list…
And today:
What do we do now? This wasn’t part of the plan…
Maybe we can pull ’em apart…
If you grab there, I’ll hold on here…
Nope. Just take them both, we’ll sort it out later. (and wee Irving comes along on accident)
