I keep threatening spouse that I am going to make ridiculous T-shirt sayings. Mostly because I already have! He loves the “Come to the dark side – We have cookies!”… especially the one with a cookie painted on the sleeve! But he will occasionally don the bright red shirt with black trim that has “Ho, Ho, Ho” painted with white bones to make the letters. (Full skeleton!)

I wonder how quickly would he slip on a purple shirt with a big black heart and a white skull in the middle of the heart? (Smirk!)

An adventure is somebody else, somewhere else having a REALLY BAD DAY. Otherwise, it’s just one awfulness after another. With mosquitoes. And blisters. And rain.

Cocktail party stories at my age do not include pictures, just us old folks with minds that may or may not be working all that well. I thank any God that may or may not be out there for this.

why does this make me think of calvin and hobbes I love that strip but it ended before i was even born. my dad and grandpa read the strip. but it’s sad that calvin and hobbes ended before i was even born I wish calvin and hobbes would return as the new calvin and hobbes or a official hobbes and bacon or a spin off comic strip called susie and bun buns! sorry I got a little too deep there.

I recall while on my enforced vacation in Southeast Asia back in the 1960s, as we were taking fire from some definitely unfriendlies, some wit in my squad opined, “Someday, we’ll look back on this and laugh.”

Well, it’s 55 years later and I still ain’t laughing!
