Tummy rub? Somebody should tell the CIA to forget about waterboarding and start rubbing bellies.

Everyone assumes that Calvin will marry Susie when they grow up.

But maybe it’s Hobbes that’s going to be the lucky one.

Well now, we know who else might have read C&H growing up because he too did not like tigers that got captured…regardless of their honor and integrity.

“Good Gravy!” Haven’t heard that one in a long time. Of course, living in France for 20 years, where all they might say is,”Zut, alors!” Once heard a gentler version, “Flute, alors!” Just whistle!

The ironic thing is that Calvin must secretly like Susie since Hobbes is just part of his imagination.

Hobbes loves the torture of having his belly rubbed. It didn’t work with our family dog.

Hey, how can you expect a tiger to be mean if you scratch his belly? Be reasonable.

OH, GOOD GRAVY!!!!! when I was growing up that phrase and “MAN A LIVING” were our substitutes for ‘naughty’ words. That way we didn’t get our mouths washed out with soap.

Hobbes a traitor, alright. But what is wrong with a casual tummy rub by the opposite team. Calvin has lawyers vocab and he means it.
