This is my dog every day.

Aww Lynn, thanks! – especially panel 3 where she is holding April.

My dear departed old dog was always near but as he lost his hearing and then gradually most of his sight he became exactly like this as touch was his last way to communicate. He’s been gone a bit over 2months now and I still look for him before I change direction. Gosh I miss my old boy.

A dog is at it’s best when giving love, companionship, and comfort.

My Mom said dogs will compete for affections when my daughter was a baby and cats are dangerous for babies because they are very attracted to the milk and suffocated a baby so to “juggle” pets and babies it’s good to keep them separate.

Recently I have expanded my bubble a bit to pet those dogs (with the owner’s permission) that strain at their leash to get a pat on the head.

Our springer spaniels are velcro dogs. That’s how close they stick with us, with the exception of when the vacuum cleaner is in use.

That’s what outside is for.

When a lot of attention is being given to anyone, everyone thinks they need some.

Yes, we do.

“Insecure Days” was one of the most requested reprints. I think it’s because both pets and owners have “those days!”

Cats do this all the time and it gets annoying. Pets want attention and they’ll let you know this way, I guess.

Farley’s a little jealous of April, me thinks

Dogs need love and attention as much as humans do.

The best thing there is is the love of a dog.

You just can’t hear the distant thunder yet.

New baby=neglected dog.

My cat gets morose.

I’m not sure how many years Farley has left. Those episodes with him aging really rip my heart out.

My sweet little girl was a real joy to have around for the 17 wonderful years we had her. I had to say goodbye to her 15 long, lonely months ago and would give anything in the world if I could have her underneath my feet, nearly tripping me, just one more time. Love your beloved fur-babies while you can because they’re gone from your life way too soon! :’-(

I’ve got a frisky cat that does this all the time.

You’d think Elly would look down after the first time of tripping over the dog. I have a small dog and I look down every time I walk.

Farley isn’t the baby anymore.

Feeling negligent.

I have one of those right now, during the pandemic. She is so sad …

And you’ll SO miss them when they’re gone…

My black Lab is like that. He is always under foot, when we turn around, he is right there, he tries to get in front of us when we are walking, but for some reason, we love him anyway.
