I’m surprised Goat didn’t buy a Tesla.

How can he drive with those feet ?

I’m reminded of the opening sequence of the TV show The Incredible Hulk:

Well, Rat, maybe if you were the star of a wildly popular comic strip, you could afford a Lexus, too.

Goat with a Lexus does not sit well and I can get Pastis for not jocking Elon Musk Tesla brand as well since Musk has fallen out of favor with the PC crowd (I leave my judgement aside here but a lot of people think he is a below average human being like some other current world leaders)…. I thought Goat would go for forgoing a ride and go for putting solar panels on his house to lessen his carbon footprint with out benefitting a big car company……

That would have taken a lot of counseling.

Many things make me want to punch people in the head. What type of car they drive, I could care less. Maybe i need to seek help with Rat

A Lexus is a car that really makes a statement.

That statement is “I paid way too much for my Toyota”…………..

Shouldn’t Goat drive a GTO ?

It seems the only luxury cars I get rides in are old used luxury cars, with interior parts falling off. Why bother? Get a sensible practical car.

No, Rat, it didn’t make you “jealous,” it made you envious — a significant distinction contemporary culture tends to overlook because envy looks a lot uglier on someone than jealousy.

As said above, he’s envious not jealous. Jealousy involves matters of the heart.

It’s my personal theory that anger is a secondary emotion; something else comes first, but is covered up by anger. Usually that initial emotion is fear, but I can see jealousy being felt first, as well.

Update for the old song by Janis: “My friends all drive Lexuses, I must make amends”. Our friends all act superior driving their used Lexuses, but since 1975 I saved and bought all my Buicks, Chevy’s and GMC brand new.

A new car during lockdown? Not the wisest purchase.
