I knew it !!! I could tell by his look the other day that this guy is a rotten egg ! Will he shoot Vitamin in the back, on his way to fix Tracy’s ‘black and white wagon’ ?
Look at which thoughtful person is looking very guilty!
The first two frames are almost identical to yesterday. One eyebrow changed and a slight zoom in for the first one. A different angle and a couple of minor revisions in the second.
Emilio whips it out. Vitamin is distracted thinking about Fortuna or whatever her name was.
Meanwhile, Tracy is outside, knowing what skullduggery is fermenting inside, like Gweedo’s cheap bathtub hooch. He knows he needs backup, so he calls for the Crack Squad. A bunch of plumbers answer his call, ready to plunge into danger. Tracy laments for the good old days, when special tactical officer Bazooka Joe was ready at a moment’s notice and bulldozers were the back up of choice. Sadly for Tracy, Bazooka Joe retired from the force and is now a meter maid patrolling the mean streets of Tracy Town with an RPG. Parking violations have declined to nothing.
Watched 1990 Warren Beatty Dick Tracy two nights ago. 1945 “Dick Tracy” (Split face villain) last night, Probably do “Dick Tracy meets Cueball” tonight. That leaves “DT dilemma” and “DT meets Gruesome”
The eyes were added by the artist. I was trying to slip the gun past y’all as a janitor’s took of the trade. Something for those REALLY tough stains. Darn! SO close!
Emilio Recalli is a bad ‘un, that’s for sure. Is he “Presto”? Maybe. Could be he was frustrated by his lesser vaudeville sunken career and determined to make a come-back as a big scale illusionist, figuring a ransom job on Aurora Rising was the way to a quick reputation. Of course, his thinking is warped, but the blackened eyes and pulled gun (with finger on the trigger, too) in panel 3 leave no other conclusion but that he is a bad ’un, for sure.

Well, at least we getting to the action!
Definitely needed to trade artists between the last two arcs.
If we’re going to do guns, I think I’d rather Joe’s art.
But Coney? This art would have been much better.

I hate it when weighty conundrums happen.
