While dining out one day a fellow diner told me the grease running from my mouth was red. I took it to the kitchen. I told them to give me a loaf of bread, a package of cheese and a can of pop. Somehow it was “cooked” exactly as PoodleGroomer describes. I was hoping the bread and pop would give my tummy some early help.

The smoke & smell was the big clue for his proper answer.

You will when you’ve eaten every last crispy morsel.

A good deed toward Gladys but not for your cholesterol .

I’m thinking that Gladys always cooks steaks one way….well burnt! ;/

And you’re a winner in my book, Brutus.
PoodleGroomer about 4 years ago
You have to get the skillet extra hot to get burnt on the outside and cold raw in the middle.

He did a good deed, but I hope he knows if a steak is cooked properly, it needs to be watched so it doesn’t try to rejoin the herd.

I would like my steak cooked by someone else. Sometimes ordering in is the only viable option. “Hello, Grub hub?”
Of course though he has to request it extra well done, given his “stake” in that relationship.

A good deed would be to go out and BBQ steaks for the booth of you. Come on Brutus!

My dad always used to say black on the outside and red on the inside.

Thorny, you have just proved the rule that “you can’t lose them all”. Umm … well-done!

Good man.

Are you saying that’s how it’s going to come out anyway?
When I eat out I generally order it cooler than I actually want it. If I want it medium rare, I order rare and wa la, it comes medium rare!

That is until you say, “Oh good, we have charcoal for this weekends BBQ”.

Time to replace the battery in the smoke detector. It should’ve been done 8 minutes ago.

If I were Brutus, I would find a different “ good deed” to perform instead. Serving destroyed steak is criminal.

He better say, mm, I like it like that . . .
