Inherently – the idea of liking complicated questions more than complicated answers is the comment of an intellectual dilettante. The first stage of understanding is the simple answer, the next stage is seeing the complex answer behind the simple answer, the next stage is understanding that complex answer and why all of those things matter, with the last stage being able to restructure it so you can give someone else a meaningful simple answer. Picking at the complexity is the easy part – the rest is work.
